Pitch Blog - Music Video

Jack ’ s Pitch:   Friday by Rebecca B lack   Pitch 1: This music video would follow the storyline of two teenagers having a fun night out that leads to irresponsible decisions and dramatic consequences. While this is happening two other teenagers are t rying to intervene and stop them from doing these actions , but the y d on 't listen and face the consequences before receiving help.   Conversation: Although this was a s trong contender, after making an overall comparison, a better option was chosen. Even with the strong purpose behind this, we found as a group our chosen pitch to be much more powerful with its meaning and speak to a larger audience. We found the values in the chosen pitch to be more universal , rather than speaking to few peopl e. Having more universal values helps more people to be inspired by the music video, creating a greater purpose for the video.     Salome´s Pitch: Song is Instant Crush by Daft Punk   Pitch 2 : This music...

Group Blog - Music Video

Hello once again, as stated before, I am Francesco Corrales. During the past two days I have decided who my group will be for my music video project. For this project I will be working with three other people, these people being Salome Baron, Jack Olson, and Valentina Navarra. I have firstly chosen to do this project with Salome because I think that we will work well together. I have known Salome for almost three years now. I met Salome back in 8th grade when she transferred to my school which is Sunrise Middle School. In ninth grade, we became even closer friends since we coincidentally had two classes in common. This led to us collaborating and working more often with each other for classes. Over the summer we kept in good contact and communication. However, unfortunately me and Salome did not get any classes together this year. Disregarding the fact that we got unlucky and we don't have any classes together this year, we still get along well with each other and keep in good touc...

CCR - Commercial

Critical Creative Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? I would say that me and my group followed the normal conventions for my commercial. My commercial is about a sports drink called M รก s+, which meant I researched past commercials done on sports drink products. It resulted in that there were many common factors in the conventions they used. For example, sports drink commercials tend to have close up shots , ambient sounds, and even non- diegetic sounds. For my commercial, we followed the most common conventions that were used in previous sports commercials such as Gatorade and Powerade. However, there might have been a couple of conventions used in my commercial that are not common l y used in others, such an over the should shot or low angle, which might not be as common as other conventions in sports drink commercials.   My project was geared towards a wide audience of individuals who might d...
