Production Blog: First Step to our Film! - Music Video

Hello once again, so now I had an idea of how our film was going to be. Therefore, I had decided to coordinate to meet up with my group to start our process in filming. So on a weekend when all of us were available, me and my group met up at one of our group members house. Once we got there, we had a bunch of new ideas that we had for our film. At first, we were all collectively bringing ideas to our film regarding as well the storyboard. We had ideas left and right that all of us contributed that was a crucial part in the formation of our film. We had group members alternating on drawing out our ideas on our storyboard. One important event that occurred was that I realized with my group that in our film we wanted to have a sign showing the location. So me and my group decided to get creative and design and color a poster together, shown in the start of our film and where it is being taken place. Since I had four members in our group (including myself), me and my group decided to split up the work. This let us finish our ideas for our film, while also getting started with filming the ideas we already had planned for our film. So, me and my group member worked on finalizing the ideas for our film, and two of my other group members started filming the first few scenes. These scenes included when the girl is driving to her new home, entering her new home, and showcasing her sadness for missing her old home and friends. While my group members filmed this, I did my part with my group on drawing out our ideas for the film such as many scenes in the first half of the film and the second half. For example, I drew out the scene where there is a car being driven by the new girl passing a sign (with the location), and she is coming from Colombia. This showed a visual demonstration to my group members of how I envisioned this part of the beginning of the film to look like. Another example is I drew out the scene where the friends in the film go on a bike ride together. I also drew out the part in the film where the friends spend quality time by baking together. Both of these scenes are part of the montage that is planned to be shown in the music video once the new girl starts to hang out with the new group of friends. Soon the time started flying by and it had been already around three hours since I had been finalizing and drawing out a sequence of ideas for our film. We finished our complete outline of how our film was going to go from start to end. Since it was getting late, I needed to head home, and me and my group member finished our part, I left my friends house and that was my part of our progress in our filming process.
