Production Blog: Change in Location - Music Video

Hello again, my group and I had to solve a dilemma during our filming. My group and I spent a few hours filming at my group member's house. At that point it was around six in the evening. However, due to daylight savings, it was almost completely pitch-black outside. The issue was that my group realized we still had to film a couple more scenes that were outdoors. This led to an issue because it was already hard enough to all meet up due to our different schedules. So, I wanted to finish as much as possible of filming that day. My group and I improvised on where we can still film where there is light out. Collectively, my group thought of going to Holiday Park. This was an excellent choice as a backup plan. This is because I still needed to film two scenes, those being a soccer and volleyball scene. This park has the perfect environment for these scenes, with the crucial factor of huge stadium lights, providing light for our film while being outdoors. However, me and a couple other members in our group were at first a little hesitant because it may consume a lot of time. This caused a hesitation because I had a quiz the next day for a separate class and so did some of my other group members. However, I decided with my group that the filming will be very quick and won’t take very long at all. So luckily, one of our group members already had their driver's license, so they quickly drove me and the rest of my group members to Holiday Park. Once I got there, my group and I went to the soccer field, however all the nets were taken up already by soccer teams. However, I realized that playing with a soccer ball as friends will still display the same message to the audience, with or without using soccer nets. This scene took a few tries, one of my group members even almost got hit in the face by a soccer ball by someone unknown. However, me and my group were finally finished and were satisfied with our soccer scene. Now I had one more new scene to film, which was the scene where the friends play volleyball together. This scene took way longer than expected. My group and I did multiple tries on filming this scene, but having to play volleyball with other people is harder than expected for inexperienced volleyball players. Finally, I had finished filming all the scenes my group had collectively planned on filming for that day, and I was pretty much done with the filming for our music video. I am very excited for my next step to fully completing our music video.
