Genre Decision
Genre Decision: Thriller
Me and my group member have decided that we are going to be choosing the thriller genre for our opening sequence of our film. After researching multiple genres, we thought that the thriller genre would best fit what we’re trying to portray in the couple minutes we have in our opening sequence. One factor that played into our decision was the ability for the genre to grasp the attention of the audience. Thrillers can create a suspenseful and tense sensation for the audience, making them feel really connected with the story plot, wanting to find out what happens next. Also, with the genre of thriller, we have the ability to create a dark and mysterious atmosphere within our opening sequence, playing a crucial role in conveying our story. With all the factors and elements that play into the contribution of an opening sequence of a thriller, it will best fit with the story plot we want our audience to get out of the opening sequence of our film.
