What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? 

In the movie Skyfall, the titles displayed in the opening sequence are the film studio, starring/main actors, directors, producers, the movie title, story writers, and many more credits were mentioned for individuals who contributed towards this film. These titles are accompanied by breath taking/powerful images along with a song in the background, empowering the visuals shown. 

 

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? 

The images prioritized in the opening sequence of Skyfall is the main character being drowned, while unconscious, to the bottom of the ocean. There are abundant images of a cardboard figure of the main character sinking in the ocean being shot. There is a plethora of images of weapons, and swords even being stricken down. There are images of a burning cardboard figure of the main character being burned with flying dragons, highlighting the striking images that appear in the opening sequences. 

 

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset 

The film Skyfall can be set into the genre of thriller with its many small but impactful elements that are demonstrated in the outset of the film. The multitude of weapons that appear in the outset, along with a cardboard figure of the main character, as if it was a target for a hitman, all create suspense within the audience, making them wonder what exactly is going to happen to the main character with all this potential foreshadowing, making them want to watch more. Along with the background music, the music can be said to sound haunting, making the audience feel tension/suspense and even making the film mysterious, contributing to the elements of establishing a thriller genre from the outset.

Other Info: Schedule: 1/27/25 - 1/31/25   We will be deciding on a final plan for our film production and creating a storyboard that outlines the scenes for our final task.     2/1/25 - 2/ 3 /25   We wil l be calling at night throughout the week to discuss how we can improve our story plot development by very detail-oriented aspects.   2/ 5 /25 - 2/ 10 /25   We will be meeting at the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park to film our first introduction scene .     We will then be meeting in an investigation room location which can be at one of our houses that can be transformed into the setting of an investigation room.   2/ 11 /25 - 2/16/25   Finding an accurate editing software and start putting the clips together from the week of filming.
