Production Blog: Getting Props - Final Task
Hello again, today I thought with my group partner that I might need some props for my film. These props can be used to assist in delivering the story plot to the audience. So, I arranged with my partner to go and get props together for our film. A problem was that I didn’t have any ride to get to the place I wanted to go to. However, luckily my group partner is sixteen years old. This meant that she had her driver's license and therefore was able to drive me. At first, I didn’t know where we could purchase our props. Later though, I was able to figure out that a place that sells good props is a store called Party City. So, Salome picked me up from my house at around noon, and we were off to Party City. Once we got there, I started brainstorming on what items we may need. I was able to come up with my group partner that we needed a binder/folder, a blindfold, handcuffs, and more. I would say that I was there for about an hour or so. I was able to find most of the items that I was looking for with my group partner. However, there was an item or two that we weren’t able to find at the store. This did upset me and Salome a little bit, since they could have contributed to our film. However, I realized it was fine since the props weren’t going to majorly affect our film. The props were just something that could be an additional thing to our film, enhancing it slightly. I purchased the props that we were able to find and then went back to the car. When I was in the car, my group partner and I were looking online to see if I could purchase the props. However, these props were not going to arrive on time. This was a slight issue; however, a couple of props weren’t going to revolutionize my film. Salome drove me back home and the whole trip had only taken me a little over a couple hours.
