Production Blog: Scheduling Conflicts - Final Task

Hello once again, so it's finally time to start the production process of my film. I had originally planned to film with my group member on a certain date. However, I realized that this date caused some conflict. Therefore, me and my group member weren’t available to start filming that day. So, I met with my group member to discuss possible dates to film. I had proposed to start filming this weekend. However, my group member Salome was leaving the state for around a week. This meant that she wasn’t going to be attending school, as well as not being able to start our filming after school or on the weekend. This sort of was going to delay the plan for the filming process that we had made earlier; however, it was a solvable conflict. So, I was looking at dates that we can both film and that its both convenient for us. My group member proposed the weekend after, however this time I was busy that weekend. That weekend I have a three-day swimming competition that is both in the morning and afternoon. Usually when I have these type of swim competitions, I tend to not have any time afterwards since I am at the pool all day and arrive home late. Also, this competition is one of my bigger competitions that I can’t just skip since I’ve been committed to training for this competition for months. This led to us deciding that we cannot film that weekend either due to my conflict with my swimming. This, however, wasn’t a problem because we could simply work around this other conflict that my group had. The other problem was that we needed time to film the necessary scenes for my group's film. There are at least two different locations within our film, so this means we either have to spend a whole entire day dedicated to filming or split it up by parts throughout a few days. Me and my group member were now thinking of new potential dates when we can film our final task to create an efficient production process. My group member usually is free in the afternoons after school. On the other hand, I tend to have swimming practice which takes up some time from my afternoon. Finally, though, we decided that throughout next week, after she gets back from her trip and before my swimming competition, we will film after school as well as after I come back from swimming. After overcoming many obstacles for our filming dates, I was able to decide with my group member the dates that we can film that cooperates with both of our schedules and activities.
