Production Blog: Solving Filming Conflict - Final Task

Hello everyone, me and Salome had taken a break in her car. This was because we were a little exhausted from being out in the sun for a couple of hours. Also, me and Salome had to solve a dilemma that was unthought of. The problem originated from Salome taking me to the park instead of Renato (my brother). This is because I originally had planned that Renato was going to take me to the park, and he would then stay with us and help us film. This would allow us to film scenes where both me and Salome make an appearance. The crucial scene that made us realize that I had this dilemma was where Salome had to jog in the park and a car had to follow her. This scene would have created an eerie and mysterious suspense in the audience since the innocent girl in the story plot is being mysteriously followed. The person who would be driving the car would have been my brother, Salome would have been running, and I would have been filming. Renato would have been driving instead of me since he has a driver's license as a seventeen-year-old. Me and Salome, like I said, were in the car brainstorming ideas on how to fix this solution. Salome luckily came up with a great idea. The attempted solution would be that the first scene would be Salome jogging, and she would be going around a corner, where she’d disappear from the scene. The following scene would be in the same setting; however, the scene is now focusing on a car driving through this same road, implying that Salome is being followed. This solution allowed me to be the person filming while Salome in the first scene was the jogger, and the second scene was her driving the car, however her face isn’t shown at all in the second scene. After we resolved this problem, we changed the scenery of the next couple scenes to another side of the park. The next few scenes I filmed with Salome were now mostly focused on me. One of these scenes was me on the phone in the car saying that I have got” Salome. This scene took a little time since Salome had to film from an unusual angle from being outside of the car while holding the camera inside of the car. Another scene that took a lot of tries was the final scene in the park. This scene had me in it, and Salome had to film me exiting the car and quickly focus the camera on the car door. This makes the end of the scene pitch black to then transition to the investigation scenes. After filming that last scene, Salome took me back home and overall, I had a productive day in my filming progress for the final task.
