Production Blog: Technical Concerns - Final Task

Hello everyone, I now needed to figure out some technical concerns. This is so I can have the best execution in my final task that I can. So, I wanted to discuss this with my group partner Salome. I wanted to meet up with her in person to talk about this since it would be quicker to discuss and can freely express more rather than texting. Something unfortunate about my schedule this year is that I don’t have a singular class with Salome. However, I do have a class called study hall that Salome also has. This class is used as a free class to do any homework or classwork that you may need to do. So, me and Salome both were able to go to the same study hall. For the rest of the scenes that I needed to film, I wanted to figure out the best camera to use. I wanted to first hopefully use a professional camera for filming. However, me and Salome both didn’t have easy access to that. Also, to purchase those cameras it can be really expensive. I had a dilemma though when picking whether to use my phone or Salome's phone to film the rest of the scenes. Her phone is really good quality on her phone, being better than mine. However, my phone has more storage availability than hers. So, I wasn’t really sure what phone to utilize for the rest of the main scenes for the film. However, me and Salome were both able to come up with a solution. Salome uses her phone to film the scenes and then she sends the videos to me and deletes them off her phone. This allows the film to be of higher quality, while not being restricted to how many takes or shots I want to take for the scenes. There are some scenes where we have to talk to each other. I wanted to use these tiny microphones to get a very focused quality of our voices in the film. However, I wasn’t able to find the correct ones on time. This wasn’t a problem though because I had soon realized that the microphone quality on both mine and Salome's phone work perfectly fine for the vocal scenes in the film.
