Production Blog: Film Review - Final Task

Image
Hello everyone, I am very close to finishing the production of my final task . Once I had finished editing it, I rewatched it over and over again . This was to make sure that in my perspective, the film is as effective in displaying its message as possible . I wanted to create this effect in the audience while adding a sense of fl uency with our camera angles, editing techniques, and more that enhances the message and intention of the film . However, after rewatching many times, I realized that I may be biased to the way I see my own film . So, I asked my brother for him to review my film . This was in order to get another opinion on how I may be able to enhance my film . Not only is he another individual with a different perspective on how he may see my final task, but he also has already taken AICE Media AS Level . This shows that he already has a level of expertise that can assist me in getting feedback for my film .   So, after school I asked my brother if he co...

Production Blog: Editing Time! - Final Task

Hello everyone once again, it's time to edit . This is personally my favorite part in the process of finalizing a film . This is because I get to put together all the tiny clips that don’t really have much meaning into one big creation that has a impactful meaning to the audience . So, me and Salome needed to find time to edit this film . Me and her came up with the idea that me and her should meet up during study hall . This allows us to interact face-to-face withou t any communication restrictions . Also, if I meet up with Salome in person, she and I both get to interact with the editing software in real-time . This allows the editing proc ess to be enhanced since creative input from both me and Salome can easily be expressed . So, we met up in the study hall, and I was wondering what editing software she and I were going to use . In the past, I have used CapCut for my last two filming projects . However, recently there was a national ban in the United Sta...

Production Blog: The Last Step to Filming! - Final Task

Hello everyone, once again, I’m back to filming . I have already filmed the outside scenes for my final task with Salome . This was a success, and I was able to recreate a lot of scenes in the way I had envisioned it . Today, Salome went over to my house to film the rest of the scenes . These scenes included the investigation scenes where Francesco investigates Salome to see if she's hiding who she says she is . So, me and Salome were arranging a time where she can come over to my house . However, I couldn’t film right after school, because I had swimming practice, which meant I had to film with Salome after I got back . This led to Salome arriving at my house at around seven at night . The reason why we are doing it in my house is b ecause firstly, it had to be in an indoors area where I can freely film with Salome . However, usually an interrogation room or scenery is like an office . Luckily, I have a room in my house where it is a work office, which allow...

Production Blog: Solving Filming Conflict - Final Task

Hello everyone, me and Salome had taken a break in her car. This was because we were a little exhausted from being out in the sun for a couple of hours. Also, me and Salome had to solve a dilemma that was unthought of. The problem originated from Salome taking me to the park instead of Renato ( my brother). This is because I originally had planned that Renato was going to take me to the park, and he would then stay with us and help us film. This would allow us to film scenes where both me and Salome make an appearance . The crucial scene that made us realize that I had this dilemma was where Salome had to jog in the park and a car had to follow her . This scene would have created an eerie and mysterious suspense in the audience since the “ innocent girl ” in the story plot is being mysteriously followed . Th e person who would be driving the car would have been my brother, Salome would have been running, and I would have been filming. Renato wo uld have been driving instead o...
